Did everyone notice that Black Friday seemed to start on Thursday this year? What happened to Thanksgiving? I know it was here because I had some seriously yummy turkey at my sister's house! Way too full when I left there, but she makes THE BEST Thanksgiving dinner. Her daughters also provide excellent sides and desserts. Sarah and I both had to work so we missed the annual dinner in Toledo. My hubby and three youngest kids went but that was alright. There are times when I just like spending time with my mom and sister and Sarah got to see her boyfriend after work. I had to laugh when I found out that a group of the in-laws all went shopping that night. They used to get up early and go!
I have heard a lot of people talking lately about Christmas and how the true meaning is lost. That is why I started this edition of my Ramblings. I told a friend that the meaning will only be lost if we, as Christians, let it be. This year I really hope to help my family focus on a Christ-centered Christmas. While I was searching the internet for ideas, I came across several. I don't want to say just how many because I don't want anyone to know how much time I have been spending on the computer!
I found an amazing Advent idea that I had 'pinned' last year. I loved it then and love it even more now. So for the next 25 days, I would like to share it with you. I could give you the website and just leave it at that, but then I won't be sharing a little each day. I promise to give credit where credit is due at the end of my series. (She has a business, but the part that she sells is sold out so I think I will be ok)
Just stay tuned all month and feel free to share with anyone who may need a reminder!
